wings on the go

This was part of the first Angono Food and Art Crawl media tour organized by the Tourism Office of Angono.

Even before Wings on the Go (WOTG) got its own dining place, I have been a fan. The popular restaurant started out as just a home-based pick-up/delivery system owned and managed by husband-and-wife Leo and Faye David. I’ve written many times about them. (Check here, here, and here. ) And not much has changed since then. And I mean this as a compliment.

But just to keep you, dear readers, updated, here are some new photos and additional menu items from WOTG.

I’ve watched WOTG’s dining place transformed from a bare dining area to an ideal place to take your friends and family for a satisfying grub. Wooden tables and warm soft lighting makes the place conducive to taking pictures. They also have one of the most marvelous playlists in town!

Nothing has changed in WOTG’s food from Day One – taste-wise. Everything is still as appetizing and satisfying. My personal favorites Quarter Pounder Cheese Deluxe (Php95), Green Salad with Vinaigrette (Php110), and Chili Cheese Fries with Jalapeño (Php75) continue to not disappoint and remain as my go-to comfort food.

WOTG had expanded their menu, however, including a Cheesy Jalapeño flavor to their famous chicken wings, and three levels of spiciness: Sweet and Spicy, Mild and Wild, and Inferno.  The wings are priced at 200g/4pcs (Php 90), 400g/8pcs (Php 170), and 600g/12pcs (Php 250).

A new personal favorite, the Belly Flop (Php140), is a sandwich filled with what most of my dreams are made of: grilled liempo! It is sooooo good.

I tell you, everything is just absolutely delicious – worth every peso!

When you dine in WOTG, you’ll never ever feel that you’ve been ripped off. The servings are hefty and a sure value-for-money, and often even better than its more popular counterparts.

Serving time wouldn’t be much of an issue as you can choose to take a look at the different items for sale in the “lifestyle shop” – a collection of racks filled with items from different online shops.

One of the secrets to a successful enterprise is consistency. Consistency of product, of service, of identity. And WOTG has all of those down. From serving consistently delicious offerings of homemade and original recipe burgers and chicken wings to upholding a clean-as-you-go dining policy, WOTG never failed to stay true to what it stands for. And it’s nothing if not a lifestyle shop and restaurant that remains as my ultimate favorite foodscape in Angono.

There are jeepneys and commuter vans to Angono in Cubao Farmer’s Market (beside Telus), Robinsons Galleria, SM Megamall, Star Mall (Mandaluyong), and EDSA Central. One can also take the LRT Line 2 and alight at the Santolan Terminal where there is a van terminal to Angno. There are also jeepneys to Angono that pass by here, but if it's rush hour you can then take a jeep to Sta. Lucia Mall where there is a jeep terminal to Angono.

Once on a jeepney with an "Angono" signboard, get off at "Plaza". Walk your way towards Wings on the Go. It's very near the Municipal Gym!
