Off the shores of Gasan is a trio of islands known as the Tres Reyes (Three Kings). Individually named as Gaspar, Melchor, and Baltazar, these islands features white sands, picture-perfect rocks and cool clear waters.

Locally known as pulo, the nearest island, Gaspar, had little nooks that can be occupied for a day without cost.
This was our spot
Despite the turbulent boat ride, the surrounding water where we docked was calm and still. Perfect for swimming!

We had this little piece of a royal to ourselves and having that in mind was awesome. It was like having a little private island of your own. The cluster of rocks served as great backdrops for photo ops and the clear water provided a welcomed relief from the heat. There was also an occasional fish that would swim by you as you cool down.

I've been told that the other two kings, Melchor and Baltazar, were not yet thoroughly explored because traveling there is rather perilous - the waves were apparently huge and the winds unpredictable.

Nonetheless, if Maniwaya island does not satisfy your yen for white sand beaches and seclusion, then the Island of Gaspar will surely make up for it.

Cheers to the next adventure!
