Life is a Beach at Pagudpud

Monday, April 28, 2014

On the second day of my Ilocos Adventure, we visited the Blue Lagoon.

On our visit there, the waves were furiously raging and I didn't really enjoy the experience. I prefer calm waters where I can practice my freestyle swimming.

But being the fun people that we were, we found other ways to make most of the place, e.g. human sand sculptures:

Later on, when we returned to our transient house, I walked barefooted  with my companions to the nearby beach.

In contrast to the Blue Lagoon, the waves were peaceful; the setting sun a smudge of red orange across the still waters.

My kind of beach.

When I went into the calm water, my skin tingled from the cold temperature. I wondered why the waters were cold despite the searing heat. Magic. I didn't mind it though, and I swam to my heart's content:

Cheers to the next adventure!
